When I decide to do a product review, the first question I ask myself is; is the product is right for my site and my readers.  Second, I only choose product reviews on products or services I can actually see myself using.

All reviews are my honest opinion, and I never do reviews in which I am paid to give only a "good review".  I want my readers to be able to trust me and my opinions.
