Kate Meadows is a talented and successful artist in San Francisco. Who now in her early 30's has been single for a while, but still been on the lookout for a nice Christian man to enter into her life. Just as she plans to give up, and vows to give up men for good. She meets not one, but two handsome bachelors.
Michael Palmer, a very good looking famous make-up artist falls for Kate immediately. The problem is Michael is also a perfectionist by profession. He can't help but constantly throw suggestions and business cards Kate's way for plastic surgeons and other beauty professionals to help correct all her flaws.
Then there is the handsome Dr. Clive Alexander, who is interested in Kate but apparently only in her work as an artist. The two seem to rub each other the wrong way with just about every turn. This wouldn't be a problem, but Kate can't get the handsome Dr. off her mind and sometimes he can't get her out of his.
I found Perfecting Kate to be a fun fast paced girl novel. Kate's humor is sassy, sarcastic and yet fun loving at the same time. She's a real character full of flaws and imperfections just like any real woman. But also like a real women, she has thoughts of fixing a few small things to improve on her appearance. Instead of just thinking about them, she allows herself to try a few out, and then some more... The only problem is, Kate hasn't figured out why she is really doing these things and not even she knows what improvement she may make next.
Perfecting Kate, takes you on a hilarious journey of one single woman, trying to find the man of her dreams while she is trying to find herself at the same time. You'll laugh with her, and understand her. You might even find parts of yourself in her. Whether your married or single. I recommend this novel for anyone over twenty who loves a good fun clean girly read!

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review. I was not required to write a positive review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book sounds like right up my alley, might have to add it to the "someday I will read pile", which by the way is very long at the moment?
ReplyDeleteYou on goodreads, if not, you should join up and put your reviews on there too.
Oh I hear ya on the "someday" read list. Mine has over 254 at last count. Yes I use Goodreads, but sometimes I forget to post reviews on both. To many online things to remember:) But ya I need to start using it more!
